Cat's Cradle Book Review
Review Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.
Cat's cradle book review. First published 1963 Vonnegut is not for everyone and I suspect many would find him far too cynical to truly enjoy. It was one of his earlier publications iirc. In Cats Cradle I think Vonneguts own perceived purpose as a writer bleed through to the pages more than in his other novels.
Its a classic and Im a bit embarrassed that I had never read it until now. I am used to weird books as a whole. The writer of Cats Cradle divided the book into 127 chapters it of each chapter is significant to each from the paragraphs which come within the chapter.
In the end Cats Cradle is a highly imaginative work of satire. I highly doubt he was a crypto-Catholic. 4 of 5 stars Overall this book is categorized as a comedy.
Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut is a satirical novel of black humour. Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut re-read.
Cats Cradle is a whole new level of weird. Let me start off by saying that Cats Cradle was a good book but super weird. Looking for a book full of truth that is actually full of shameless lies.
To this day I still do not understand the deep meaning and symbolism behind it. His world view has always seemed to me to be without illusion though sometimes lacking in joy or hope. Cats Cradle is an irreverent and often highly entertaining fantasy concerning the playful irresponsibility of nuclear scientists.
